Winter Pond

Every season has color, including the earthy tones of winter grasses, soft silvery-purple clouds, and hints of rust and coffee in bark and lingering leaves. This studio painting is based on several plein air studies at Golden Gardens in Seattle, Washington. It features heavy texture from impasto and oil stick techniques.
