Earth’s Largest Art Event!

Updated: Nov 19, 2021

Skip the supply shortages & #ShopArt with Local Artisans

Yes, that’s right, the Earth’s largest art event - Artists Sunday 2021 – features thousands of artists from coast to coast. I’m so excited to see the holiday shopping scene shift to celebrating local and small businesses over the years with the introduction of Small Business Saturday, and last year's inaugural addition of Artists Sunday! Artists Sunday, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, November 28th, encourages consumers to shop with artists. Think of it like Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, or Cyber Monday but for shopping for art! Artists bring so much value, joy, and beauty to our communities; it’s wonderful to have a day that brings focus to that, especially this year between the pandemic and global supply chain issues.

Artists Sunday was kickstarted right in the NW (in Kent, WA!), and in its second year features 4,200 individual artists in over 500 communities across the country! This year's supply chain challenges make Artists Sunday even more important. “The supply chain shortages have affected everything from electronics, furniture, appliances, sporting goods and more,” said Artists Sunday founder Christopher V. Sherman. “But local artists, creators and makers have a fantastic assortment of gift items readily available for the discerning shopper.”

Join me in shopping from local artisans and skip that whole supply chain issue by finding gifts, art, décor and more, made in our local communities!

I’m thrilled to be participating in Artists Sunday again for its second year. The tools that Artists Sunday provide really inspired me to think more about how art can fit into the holidays to provide a more personal touch. I’ve created my first every Holiday Gift Guide to share with you a selection of giftable artwork, prints, and other artful products designed by yours truly!

I want to help you celebrate artful holidays by making your holiday gifting more special and rewarding. And in the spirit of the holiday shoppers weekend, I’m offering a few promotions to #ShopArt– from now through Artists Sunday at midnight PST.

  • 15% off all original art!

  • Stationary Card Gift Sets of 6 blank art greeting cards in a cotton gift bag with a raw wood pencil for plastic-free notes for $25 special Artists Sunday pricing

  • Free Art Card with each print or paper product: 2022 Easel Calendar (limited quantities, a popular item that tends to sell out!), Art Puzzles, and Giclee Fine Art Prints.

After summer travels and some time on the Oregon coast, I created a new series of oil paintings infused with the feeling of sun and fog, salt and wind of our rugged, rocky northwest beaches. It's been great to exhibit the Coastal works at art events and local shops in October and November, and I have been so pleased by the response. The remaining artworks and more prints are now up in my web store in time for Artists Sunday! I’ll also be opening the studio on the weekend after Artists Sunday, on December 4th from noon to 7pm, for the Building C Annual Holiday Open Studios & Artists Market. I'll be joined by 24 other local artists and makers in this fun and family-friendly holiday tradition.

To be in the know, there are a few easy things I want you to do for me:

  • Subscribe to my mailing list and I’ll send you updates about my work and events about once per month or so.

  • Make a holiday wish-list so your loved ones can gift you items from local artists and crafters like me. Create a shareable wishlist using one of these tools. Then send your list to your friends and family. Be sure to include your favorite pieces from my collections and others from Artists Sunday!

  • Bring art into your holiday traditions and shop my Holiday Gift Guide for a curated selection of paper goods and original artwork.
